It's getting close... damn I can't wait to see GT PS4.

I don't think GT will come close to DC graphics to be honest, the car models will be better though.

The best of GT7 will be beautiful, the worst will be disgusting as some PS2 assets will likely remain.

Yeah with development costs (and times) the way they are these days, making hundreds and hundreds of cars in high end PS4 graphics isn't really a viable option unless they want it to cost a billion dollars and come out in 2020.

And I don't know why they do that... I am sure all the GT fans in the world will be happy if the game shipped with only 250 perfectly detailed cars then they can add whatever they want to add in DLCs. As opposed to giving 250 PS4 level cars then 750 PS2 level cars.

Without taking anything from DC graphical prowesses, mods on GTA4 and Crysis are on another level really especialy since they have an open environment and a lot going on at the same time. The same can't be said about DC but DC is till visualy the most impressive racer on consoles.

nothing about those gifs look real.

I completely agree. They'd be better off focussing their resources for a trimmer, more consistent package.

But hey, I'm not a sim racing guy so their job isn't to cater to me, haha.

DriveClub looks fantastic no doubt. Let's just hope it plays just as good as it looks.

For me, InFamous Second Son looked fantastic.

This pretty much.

PCs will always be lead the pack when it comes to graphics, they're running stuff now we'll never see on currently available consoles.

For a console game though, DC will likely be top dog when it comes out.

OMG this crap again. One would think that when talking about a games graphics you can see processors, storage type and memory ON THE IMAGE.

How a game looks visually is just that,  how it looks visually and nothing more. Wind Waker HD is one of the prettiest games I have seen and it runs on the WiiU. Its not about it being open world, modded to hell and back or whatever. Its about the image you are seeing on the screen which consists of the artstyle and presentation of the game in question. Its not about how much better whatever you are looking at could have run on much better hardware.

And as far as this thread is concerned, for now...DC is the most photorealistic looking game out there. These fabled things that they are always running on PCs. Show me something that is running on a PC... no better yet show me a GIF not some rezzed up 8k screen grab that could never actually run in game. Show me a GIF of this pack leading graphical photorealistic game on a PC and I will show you a GIF of DC that looks better.

Looks better, what we can see... not some immeasurable metric that only looks good on paper.

Hey, i'm the first guy to argue art style over tech, I reckon Muramasa and Kirby's Epic Yarn on Wii are still two of the best looking games I've ever seen.

But I've seen mods of Crysis running, and DC isn't as photorealistic.

I am sorry but looking at those gifs... far from photorealistic. Never seen the inside of a car like that.

Well, to be fair, I never go at theses speeds either. But it is a nice looking game. althought I find racing games kinda boring, except when they have a history mode in the "zero to hero" scheme, with progression and humble starts and glorious ends.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Hardly realistic. The guy in the last gif didnt honk his horn and flip a bird at the driver who cut him off
