The game was rebuilt for the Wii a year before Dead Rising two came out, yet got no sequel. The PS3 got the sequel and the DLC without any issues. Microsoft didn't see Nintendo as a threat. Sure they wanted to bite into their market, hence the investment in Primesense but when it came to the core gamers they didnt see them as a threat. Back then I had a 360 and didn't care much, but it's something I've come to notice recently.

The PS3 also didn't get Case Zero and Case West to get the whole saga you have to have a 360.

It says in the first sentence, it was remade from the ground up, just like what I was saying. They had to scale the game down. It's like the next gen version of NBA 2k vs current gen and Fifa. Same year which they are representing but two different games.

Yes they did.
In July 15, 2008, Famitsu revealed that Dead Rising was being ported to the Wii console to be released on February 24, 2009; the port name was later revealed to be Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop (Dead Rising: Zombie no Ikenie in Japan). Capcom decided to port over the game after the Wii port of Resident Evil 4 was critically and commercially well received. The game runs on the Resident Evil 4 engine.

These last couple of pages reminded me of one of my favourite TV moments.
