The it was a fmv cutscene adds to my theory that gpu is the culprit, being apc gamer too it makes think heat when something shorts without warning i have gpu crash because of heat a couple of time

Ok so I unplugged my HDMI and power cord and let it sit for like 20 minutes.

It's now completely booted back into KZ. omg I hope this thing runs

unplugging power may have been enough to fix it, remember it has a low power state, if the game crashes to a black screen then the system has crashed and the software it is running isnt going to operate normally until its forced to cold boot.
