lol manufacturer defect, substance, powder thats plastic on plastic contact when they continuously make contact you will get fine dust
its called a design flaw sony made the r1 and l1 ride on shafts the ps2 and 1 were free floating meaning no plastic contact, meaning no friction, meaning no dust, meaning no sticking
the face buttons also have had this problem on all PS controllers just like that problem i dont see the r1 and l1 sticking issue being resolved ever this gen as its unlikely that sony would re engineer that part of the controller for that minor issue which is easily fixable by cleaning it as was and is for the face buttons
the big issue here is the analog sticks the rubber wearing off in hrs and my new discovery is actually the whole design of the controller at first i was impressed with the ps4 controllers solidness but as with the ps3s after a few hrs its not as solid. you can hear and feel flex in the whole controller as it creaks while gaming also the analog sticks on my 2nd controller suffer from clicking noise while rotating at certain radius's just like many of my ps3 controllers. i just hope that the console isnt as poorly constructed as the controller
still havent noticed premature wear on the sticks of my 2nd controller but havent played much as ive not been gaming much or been gaming on ps3 will report back if those sticks have the wear issue

Play Me

just look at my left analog stick.
