Nothing to see here folks.

Yep, just like your gaf-thread about 10% more power on PS4.

The world is not ready for mass market use of Exabytes sir.

Has anyone actually read the thread title?

this just shows, once again, that it's never a good idea to buy a console on launch... let the really hardcore fans beta test it first. This way you won't have buyer's remorse...

So its actually true then? I thought it was either a few people throwing ps4's into walls while it was installing the update or people were trolling but I guess it really is true... Oh well, every console launches have issues and this one has no exception... Although being bricked right out of the box is pretty bad... Maybe worse then the Xbox 360's RROD or the wiiU being bricked while losing connection during updates cause people have terriable and cheap wifi routers

It's not true, just most PlayStation guys are busy playing so the FUD is spreading fast.

You can't say there's not a problem with it yet, we just don't know % of working to non working atm.

Exactly. People on forums try to downplay it because only customers who have problems report, others are just playing. Thing is - there are too many customers "in the dark" who don't complain in forums and perhaps also have problems. Not everyone has an account on gaming-forums.

We don't even know if there is any problem yet, it could just be few instances. If it is a widespread problem, Sony hopefully tries to find a solution similar to what MS did with RROD.

Architecture is ok, it's the engennering that's no good.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

"defect/dead on arrival" problems are usually caused by inefficient quality checks, not by bad design
