Forums - Nintendo - 2013: The Best Year EVER for Nintendo Handhelds?

I mean, let's review what games have come out or will come out this year, at least in the West:

  • Ace Attorney 5
  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf
  • Bravely Default: Flying Fairy (In Europe)
  • Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns
  • Etrian Odyssey 4
  • Etrian Odyssey 4
  • Fire Emblem: Awakening
  • Gunman Clive
  • Harmoknight
  • Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
  • Mario & Luigi 4
  • Mario Party: Island Tour
  • Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
  • Pokemon X/Y
  • Rune Factory 4
  • Shin Megami Tensei 4
  • Steamworld Dig
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Look at that list! There are a few ports and the like, but there's so many high-quality games, it's astounding! Can any other year in Nintendo handheld history match this?

Okay, maybe 2009 or 2006 for the DS. But other than those, hasn't this year been amazing for the 3DS?

It might be, definitely a worthy contender! I would have to see list of other years to judge. But in the past 3 years then yes. Even though KIU is my favorite 3DS title (now tied with pokemon XY )

It sure was! This year I bought my 3DS too! With all the games that where releasing.I just had to own one xD.

Yeah also:
Castlevania: Mirror of Fate
Project X Zone
the new Shantae
Treasurenauts

But Kid Icarus: Uprising is still my favorite 3DS game.

Possibly, yeah :D

2012 gets points for Kid Icarus: Uprising. But the rest of the year was, if not bad, a bit underwhelming after a solid Q1.
