A great year, no doubt. It's obscene the number of games 3DS has already.

I might give the prize to 2006, though.

From my perspective, this has been the best year for the 3DS so far.

Best Pokemon game is X/Y.
Best handheld Zelda game is ALBW. (Purely based on reviews)
Best Animal Crossing is New Leaf.
Best Fire Emblem is Awakening.
Best Luigi Game is Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon.
Best Donkey Kong game is DKCR.

Yes, it's the best year in my book. If Yoshi's New Island and Kirby we're due this year, I would probably cry of happiness.

Look at that list! There are a few ports and the like, but there's so many high-quality games, it's astounding! Can any other year in Nintendo handheld history match this?

Okay, maybe 2009 or 2006 for the DS. But other than those, hasn't this year been amazing for the 3DS?

It could of been much better if any developer outside of Japan would of bothered with making games on the 3DS.

It`s a shame that the western titles or basically Indie titles.

Can`t understand how western titles don`t at least try to make games that can be successful on 3DS. You have got RPGs, platformers, adventure titles.
Try bringing something like Adventures, shooters or racers that fit 3DS.

Damn a new Metroid Prime would grab my attention on 3DS!

Retro are the studio that would be able to show what the 3DS is actually capable of too.

Don't distract Retro with 3DS. Let them make something epic in HD! NST did a great job with hunters, I don't see why they shouldn't do something on 3DS too, unless they've all fallen into the M vs. DK trap.

No, but seriously, yeah 2013 objectively would be a good contender. Luigi's Mansion, Fire Emblem, Pokémon and the new Zelda probably are all exceptional games. Though 2012 had the genius RE Revelations and 2011 had Ocarina 3D, Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart. I'd say so far every year has been good for 3DS. Not many systems, if any, can claim that in my opinion. If A Link Between Worlds is half as good as Link's Awakening, I'd have to put the 3DS as my #1 favorite handheld system, overtaking the GameBoy. Never thought that would happen!
