Does Final Fantasy 7 have the best music in video game history? I can't think of another game that comes close, the emotion the music made you feel from the opening intro of the game and to fit certain scenario's as you played throughout the game, the music when Aeris died has stuck and will never leave me, What do you guys think?

Thats a toughie. Xenogears and Chrono Cross had great soundtracks aswell.

I dont know if its the best, but its certainly one of my favorites. But the downside is that the one in the game doesnt sound as good and I am refering to the compositions better excecuted later by orchestras

Despite that I dislike the games, the Halo franchise has a very powerful soundtrack. FF7 music didn't click me as much as FF6's, though.

It has a memorable one, more so than other games. FF9 has the best one though.

Killer Instinct with Killer Cuts smashed all other Snes/Mega Drive/Genesis era game music arrangement.

Yeah, there really isnt a "weak" track on the OST.

I prefer the Final Fantasy Tactics soundtrack

Absolutely no way, not only does FF IX have better music but the game with the best music of all time is Terranigma on the SNES, which was never released in the US which is why none of you know about it.

FFX had the best overall

there are a few tracks in the other FF games that cant be matched but i feel like a lot of tracks from the others can be matched by FFX

I think a lot of tracks in ff9 were kinda weak compared to the others but i feel like "You're not alone" can't be matched by any other similar track from any of the other Final Fantasy games

"The man with the machine gun(Lagunas battle theme)" is a normal battle track from FF8 that i feel cant be matched by any other similar track from an FF game
