There are some bombs this week. Akiba's Trip 2 didn't exactly light up the charts but it was good enough for forth place in a low week. 50k if you add both versions. Good that the Vita version beat the PS3 version easily. I guess this is a game that you don't want to be caught by your parents playing on the big screen.

FPS games are catching on in Japan. Good job Battlefield.

Onechanbara Z died, even with NoNoNo. Is there a reason for that series to keep going?

Exstetra fizzled on the Vita but damn, it completely bombed on the 3DS. I hope it wasn't a good game that deserved better.

So it's Akiba's Trip, but actually Akiba Strip? Or is it just a joke and you just walk around Akihabara? :D

OT. Ehh my expectations have risen for the Vita after the recent weeks. Now I'm dissapointed it isn't around 25k

I suppose it's officially AKIBA'STRIP, ambiguous writing intended.  As a heroic otaku, it's your job to strip vampires of their clothing, thus removing their protection against the sun.  Keeping the streets of Akihabara safe is a hard job.

Vita 22k this week? Nice hold! With GE2 and Vita TV tommorow, it will easly surpass 100k!

Looks like WiiU dropped a lot. Perhaps there will be a baseline of 15k'ish until 3D Mario and Taiko U release. After that i think 20k'ish would be an expected baseline for WiiU sales going forward with a decent holiday spike now and then. We'll see.

A little unnatural for the system to drop immediatly to the new base line. Expect anothet one next week

Seems Media Create is reporting 17.737 units sold at retail. So a drop from that is likely. But remember, its only 2 weeks until Taiko U and SM3DW ships there. So, a small drop next week, and a spike the following week after that.

How popular is the taiko series in japan? Admittedly, I know nothing of the series

If only the 3DS could give like 20%-30% of its sales to the Wii U.

The prequel was very popular on the Wii. Question is: Is the Taiko audience content with playing Taiko on Wii, or are they hungry enough for the sequel to buy the WiiU?

What's your opinion? How well do u think it will do? What kind of boost can we expect for the Wii from the game?

It releases at the same time as Mario 3D World. The spike in sales will come from that game first and foremost. I think Taiko U will be a game people buy, but it will be a slow selling evergreen title. Atleast thats my prediction. Taiko prolly is the longest running evergreen title on Wii.

That's a big difference between the trackers for Pokémon.

Wii U is in danger, hopefully I can keep playing great games on it like with the N64 and Gamecube at least.
