That Vita TV number is surprising, actually.  Someone on GAF linked Yodobashi's stock availability for it:

http://www.yodobashi.com/ec/product/stock/100000001001865418/index.html

Seems like a fair few places running low on stock.

I'm interested what the first shipment was... it's never done well on amazon.jp for the whole time it's been listed, really.  I can't see the demand for the machine myself; especially in Japan.  In the west I could see it doing a lot, lot better.

It isn´t, I heard impressions that made it sound like on the same level as Tokia Towa/Time and Eternity, the horrible Imageepoch PS3 game

What impressions?  GAF impressions?

I did read the thread over there about the game.  There was one person who was playing it and he didn't seem to be enjoying it, and he kept getting hounded with replies like "Is it on the same level of bad as Time & Eternity?"

All the other impressions I've read seem to put it on the same level as the PSP Shining games.  Like a low budget version of them.  Which has, actually, peaked my interest in it a lot more than before.

Yeah, I was talking about that thread.

Out of curiosity, do we know where GAF gets these first day impressions? I know they get posted in those threads every week but are they from a large sample of stores or is it just one small indie store owner writing about how stuff has sold in his shop?? Either way I'm expecting modest initial sales, but they'll inrease as people buy them as PS4 expansion boxes for second rooms and things

Retailer blogs from Japan post sellthrough numbers.

To be honest with you, they're wrong a lot of the time.  And a lot of the time we don't have shipment numbers so they're useless beyond saying "that's doing well" or "that won't get a second shipment for a while".

I wouldn't read too much into them.  I'll admit I will post them every week if I do see them, because I find any form of sales numbers interesting, but I wouldn't read too much into it.

Interesting. I know what you mean about them being largely useless without shipment numbers - I've seen plenty of people ignore or criticise them for being inaccurate, so hopefully VitaTV proves them wrong again
