My #44 is an RPG based off of a license that had already been around for over two decades at the time of the game's release.

Baldur's Gate? I think it came out 24 years after Dungeons and Dragons.

I'm partial to Icewind Dale, but no matter. None of the great 90s PC RPGs made my final cut anyway, thanks to my heavy Nintendo bias.

Nope, but you're not very far off.

Hint 43

A bit of a Mathematical one (I am doing a Maths degree after all), but not really. They come later.

So there's a distribution called the Exponential Distribution and another called the Poisson Distribution, which are connected pretty closely. However, there's one symbol that features pretty prominently in both of these distributions, which is also highly familiar to someone who has played this game, the last numbered entry in the series.

It's a bit wordy, but if you know your Statistics it's straightforward.

Half Life 2?

I would have argued that Sarah Kerrigan is the best female antagonist in a video game but StarCraft II kinda messes things up but if you consider only StarCraft and Brood War, Kerrigan kicks major ass!

I would keep that argument for Wings of Liberty. Haven't played Heart of the Swarm yet though.

Now seriously, this could be a ton of games. Nintendo World Cup, Soccer Brawl, Hat Trick Hero, Sega Soccer Slam, Mario Strikers, Inazuma Eleven... and probably I haven't mentioned the right one.

Actually you did mention it

I'll choose between Mario Strikers or Inazuma because theyre newer and more popular so... *flips coin* Mario Strikers.

Correct

Planescape Torment?

(Former) Lead Moderator and (Eternal) VGC Detective

Hint for #42:

How to regenerate a series: add in a whole load of destruction.
How to kill that series: shove it underground.

(This is the game that regenerated it, of course).

That's further away.
