I love the unreliable comment. Way to discredit the main source of your article.

http://www.ps3center.net//news/3946/killzone-2-hits-2-million-sold/
When Killzone 2 was going to release, it was hyped as a Halo killer by many outlets, but whilst it didn't live up to those "unrealistic expectations," it did live up to the hype in terms of it's graphics and gameplay (although this is debatable).

It's nice to know then, that this has been recognized by gamers, as the game has sold 2 million copies according to VGChartz (yes it's slightly unreliable, but it's better than nothing right?)

The game has sold most in Europe during the last 33 weeks since release, but recently the game has seen a slight resurgence in sales in Europe. It was previously selling around 7,000 units weekly, but for the last four weeks it saw a steady increase to approximately 20,000 units this week. The same boost was not seen in America or Japan.

It is very likely that the game's sales were boosted by the newly relaunched PlayStation 3.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

I found mrstickball:

Unfortunately, the Android marketplace isn't large enough to garner serious investment by top-tier game companies.

According to some estimates by FADE LLC, the top title in October (after 1.6 and Hero launched) sold approximately $23,000 in revenue. That's certainly not enough to warrant serious interest from the likes of EA or other top-tier companies.

Here's the chart if your interested:

As you can see, the Android marketplace is very, very small compared to the As you can see, the Android marketplace is very, very small compared to the iPhone or other markets. However, Google has made some good changes, like the 1.6 revision, which will make the market better for developers. However, I think the bad chargeback policy needs changed, as well as forcing Google Checkout on all buyers. Supposedly, T-Mobile may allow users to charge apps to their bill which may boost revenue by 40-50%. If things like this happen, the Android will pick up momentum. The thing is that the user base is there: top-tier free apps have seen hundreds of thousands per title. Because of this, we know it's a failure of marketplace-user interaction as opposed to the platform itself (as users are downloading insane amounts of apps, they just aren't paid apps).

Não seria difícil de supor um grande sucesso para Guns of the Patriots. Um dos jogos mais aguardados do ano e um dos mais desejados exclusivos PlayStation 3, seria natural prever boas vendas. No entanto, segundo avança o site VGChartz, as vendas do primeiro dia ultrapassam quaisquer expectativas.
