Who's everybody?
To this day, I'm not sure if Sony was genius this past year or so or the competition has just been really stupid.

A combination of both.
It seemed as if MS literally wanted to sink their console devision.
...and Sony made some important decisions along the way (pro-consumer stance, indie support, better memory sulution, better dev tools, more powerful hardware etc.)
...it added up in the end...... and I think that even the horrible launch line up wont fuck the momentum up.

yeah, pretty much. i realize this is basically PR but there is still a lot of truth in it. perception has changed so much from "inevitable" to "struggeling" in this last year.
PR is PR.
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.
During the GT video at about 20 minutes in, the guy that used to co develop the original Xbox calls the Xbox One the Xbone, that name's gotten far

it was the general concensus it seemed or at least the ones that spoke loudest said that. Even after the PS4 reveal many said that. They said Sony would be more expensive. They said last year that the PS4 wouldn't make it to 2013 cause they would've had to reveal in 2012. Microsoft was apparently more prepared and ready to launch ahead and was going to take more of a loss.
