I don't think there is any damage control but perhaps some things with live are not up already and MS doesn't want to have this guy saying "well, damn feature xyz doesn't work in any way" which leads to even more xbone-hating-threads and millions of posts on N4G.

I think lots of new things were actually learned too, 45 seconds to turn on and activate live, COD Ghosts doesn't appear to have the frame issues people spoke of, DVR is working fine etc.... 

If he blasted the one and said it was shit, fair enough ban him. Don't ban him when he is endorsing and encouraging your product.

Why do people think they went into damage control? All the higher ups were most likely at their homes and not at the office. The people who banned them are some people hired, placed behind a computer, and are told to hunt down things like this.

I haven't followed since he has been banned, but did he provide Microsoft with his proof of purchase? I know he did YouTube, but I don't think he did Microsoft.

it's too risky, never know when he would drop a shit storm bomb. it would be too late to wait until he says the wrong thing. put yourself in their shoes. could you have went to sleep tonight knowing that this guy wasn't? who knows what would greet them in the morning. Potentially alot worse than anggry nerd messages from people who werent gonna buy an xbox one anyway.

Yeah i see your point!! Guess i jumped the gun a little bit, i am happy to know that it was a favourable impression personally. This place was starting to make me hate xbox lol

They should have written him a friendly note that his account was suspended until the 22nd, because they need the time to "optimize the experience.. blablala".

Now, if Sony is smart they send the guy a PS4 with a note "you may play online with this console imidiatly".
