Forums - Gaming Discussion - Escapist's NFS: Rivals Xbox One Gameplay video actually shows PS4 footage...

Tagged games:

The Escapist/EA (whoever provided that footage) just used some clips to show off different features in NfS and some of those were from the PS4 version. The version they are playing there obviously is the XB1 version - no idea why there is any discussion about that.

The Watch Dogs footage is a better reason for outrage, because if there is only PS4 footage to show they could have openly said so (and added that the X1 version will look the same "or better") instead of hiding the buttons..

Would people care if the footage was from PC with xbox control layout? Because as good as it may look, the PS4 version shown isn´t the final one either.

Well, this is other pointless issue from gaffers scrutenizing every pixel of any media.

I also noticed something....

I looked up XBone controllers, and there's no place for it to light up when it's plugged in, so I'm left to assume they weren't even using an Xbox to play the game

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kENCgBu2o4 (can't embed for some reason)

edit: I saw some people respond saying that it's an XB1 controller, but I looked at the above video and at around 0:47, you see the top of the controller and it's plugged in and there's no light on the top of the controller (I know the X lights up). I could be completely wrong here, but from the NFS "footage" and this XB1 controller hands on, I'm led to believe elsewise

re-edit: the big screen footage isn't the same as the screen she's playing on, it's separate video. My bad for jumping into the pond too quickly

I watched the video. The game is being played on the Xbox One, but the additional footage that's coming up is PS4 footage. Since they don't have it set up to record what she's playing, so in order to show gameplay in full screen, they switch back and forth between her playing and the PS4 footage.

The Xbox One footatge is what she's actually playing, the full screen footage showing a completely different colored vehicle than what she's driving as well, is PS4 gameplay.

Nope.

Notice the lit up Xbox thing on the One pad.

On another note, this is getting really silly.

They've even tried to hide it, there are mysterious black boxes over the Playstation button prompts until they flicker for a split second revealing the above. Gold!

Lol.

Oh, the shock of PR videos being mixed up. How could we live another minute knowing such a horror has been put onto the internet??!!!

Don't be silly, it's PR videos. Nothing else....

It is near the end of the end....

Both video were removed...
