Name a game on ps4 that has that many enemises on screen, that draw distance and no loading screens holding a steady frame rate and no screen tearing?. Come back to me if you can find any. That alone is pretty impressive for a next gen console.

I can find one in PS3... in Sly Cooper Thieves in Time when you are hacking with bentley or Super Stardust HD (and it is 1080p 60fps)

It's pathetic how Ps people want dr3 and titanfall on ps4. Stop complaining! You want to play dr3, titanfall, killer instinct just buy an Xbox and shut up

While I completely agree with your sentiments, you don't have to go about it that way.

It's just crazy. I'm getting a ps4 to play its exclusives. I can't imagine myself complaining on forums about the order and other games not coming to the xbox and arguing endlessly about a remote possibility of a 1st party exclusive going miltiplatform.

Sorry but it drives me crazy.

I agree totally with the bolded.  These systems are underpowered.  The real problem for both systems longevity is that the tablet/phone market has been doubling or tripling their power every year or less.  If these consoles are going to last 7+ years, smartphones will have eclipsed them by then.  This generation will be much shorter(4-5 yrs) due to the way under powered systems.  Even the PS4 is too weak.  What is more than likely to happen is that game designers/publishers will limit their games dramatically in 2-3 years because they won't want to waste resources for just the PC market.  3-4 years from now, there will be a number of tablets with processors and GPU's that rival the XB1/PS4.  Where will that leave the consoles?  Why buy a console when the same games will be playable from a tablet that you can take anywhere?  Sony/M$ didn't build this next gen with future proof in mind at all.

Tablets won't be matching consoles anytime soon because they have to meet a strict power requirement and much less for a smartphone. This generation is gonna be long because PCs are going to have issues about the latest state of the art technology. Each time that is spent to manufacture smaller transistors gets longer and longer therefore process node transitions are going to get longer and in total the high tech industry won't be brining out more powerful parts anytime soon. BTW the most powerful tablet comes in at around less than 100 gflops!

What about Surface pro?  I am running almost everything I can download off of steam on it.  It's a tablet.  From Surface pro 1 to Surface Pro 2 there was a significant power increase.  The new A7 chip in the Ipad Air is pretty powerful.  These are specs for 2013.  Next year when those spead double again and the size shrinks again, they will be getting close in basic processing power.  The next logical step for these devices is a more robust GPU.  Once they go that route, it won't be hard to match the XB1/PS4.

It is near the end of the end....

Why does it seem like the X1 and PS4 switched roles respectively to last gen? Why would MS create a machine that's harder to develop for and let the PS4 move ahead with easy development? More than likely they haven't. I love how this whole damn thing is under the internet microscope. This gen's coverage and over reaction to everything speaks volumes to where we are headed. Mob rule and gorilla topic jackings are just crazy! I hate this stuff! So go ahead and ban me again but this stuff is just getting old!

Good luck playing Nintendo or Sony 1st parties on it though... and this is the main reason I buy console (to play sony games).

I doubt we will see Sony doing it right away, but maybe at the end of this generation.  M$ of course has their own tablet ecosystem to bring their games to.  Nintendo will be on them sooner rather than later.  They have an extremely weak position outside of game systems.  As the handheld and console market changes in the next 3-5 years, they will need to do something new to stay in business.

It is near the end of the end....

Well. The CPU's in tablets will quickly surpass the next generation consoles, Jaguar to put blunty is crap.
Ram will catch up soon enough, even if it is only Low-powered DDR4.

GPU's however are power hogs in comparison, so I doubt we will see them match the Radeon 7000's in the next gen twins for many years to come. (Unless Microsoft drops in an Optimus set-up in Surface one day.)

All platforms have exclusives, for instance, good luck playing PC or Xbox exclusives on your Playstation.
The difference is the PC and by extension x86 tablets running Windows is bound to get all of Sony's exclusives eventually.

Still, the only reason you should buy a Playstation or an Xbox or a PC or a Wii is for games that suits your tastes in games and not because everyone else dislikes/likes  something.

@ethomaz LOL are you seriously comparing a side scoller shooter in a small limited environment to a huge open world with large draw distance,, thousands upon thousands of enemies with loading times and screen tearing. You sir jsut made my day XD. I can't remember where you work but you said for a bi company like intel or ibm? My apology if they are both wrong. But you out of all people should know that was a bad comparison.
