Who really won the the 7th Gen Console War?

So gens are determined by power right?


In a way, yes.

If power didn't matter we'd be playing on Atari 2600's to date.

I'm glad Sony and MS are around to raise the bar.

I'll give you that, Nintendo 1st party is good (depending on taste of course). But come to think of it. If Sega didn't push 3D/polygons, Sony didn't push HD and discs, MS didn't push online, etc, where would we be? Playing Mario in 2D, sub HD using cartridges and offline to this date? Most likely.

Good thing competition exists!

Now when it comes to games....I dont know, it comes down to exclusives, what do you like more....all big 3 have awesome exclusives but in terms of being a success the Wii won.


Now, as an owner of all three consoles since 2007, I state for a fact that Netflix was exclusive to Xbox 360 for almost a year before it came to PS3 and Wii.  They had to use discs to get around the one year agreement that Microsoft had with the service.  In fact, here's Wiki's take:

 Yes it does, i own All Nintendo but i definitely get to play me some Halo and great exclusives (1st party like GoW and 3rd party KH) on some Sony.

TBH every gamer needs a Nintendo system as a second console cuz most of my friends dont play as much but holy **** do they play 1000s of hours of SSB/MK with some metroid+loz on the side.

It seems that you forgot that LoZ was re-released and re-reviewed. If it was truly the highest rated game at present, it would be the highest rated game right now.

The PS3 will most likely win on the numbers front, but it cost a lot. Even if it passes the Wii with the number of consoles sold, it will never match the amount of money the Wii made. I feel a thread coming on.

No matter wat you say its the highest rated game of all time, LoZ (N64) =/= LoZ 3DS
