All this talk of resolution is silly. My PS3/Xbox 360/Wii U are all capable of 1080p 60 FPS. My iPad is 1536p, though it's not widescreen. If I had a higher res monitor, my i7 computer can push far higher then 1080p 60 FPS.
Since my iPad is 1536p, does hat mean it's more powerfull than the PS4 or Xbox One?
Now, back to playing all the great games I have instead of wasting more time with people all bent on resolutions.
Stop hating and start playing.
Is there a point to posting obvious stuff like this? Of cours eit can, just wont run games as well as PS4 will.

No, wipeout has a dynamic resolution. It prioritizes 60 fps and then puts the resolution as high as it can without dropping framerate. So if an explosion happens and there's a lot on screen, it's far below 1080p.
Super Stardust HD is the only true 1080p 60fps game I can think of, and that wasn't even implemented until years later when they released the 3D patch.

WipEout HD is not always 1920x1080p but it is always 1080p... the vertical resolution didn't change... 1600x1080, 1500x1080, 1700x1080, etc.
1080p.
GT5 and GT6 are 1080p@60fps too but 1280x1080 and 1440x1080 (I need to confirm this one).
