Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One will boot faster than your TV while in standby mode

Guys I think I found my issues

I disabled the auto-update check... 7 seconds now... I think if I disable the auto wireless connect it will power on in 5 seconds or less.

PS. I removed the boot logo too.

A nice, didn't know you could remove the boot logo.

I was testing bootup to a set top box as I a not using the internal TV tuner (so not sure if that matters), hooked up to HDMI 1

In anycase the Samsung TVs are pretty damn good. They even make a Wii look nice haha.

You can do that on a TV?

Well I can... I can add widgets too or any app released by Samsung... upload videos... watch YouTube, broser web, Facebook, Twitter, Netflix (but the PS3 player have better quality), etc... I can do everything.

My TV is connected by wireless today... it starts and connect to the internet... I can disable that... the auto firmware update too (Samsung didn't release firmware for months... so it is useless).

The best feature is you can schedule the TV to record videos on PenDrive... I use to get PS3 video/picture footage

PS. I can use DLNA too... play mp4, divx, etc... choose subtitles.

I'm not sure if you're mocking me here... I meant whether you can change those boot options on a TV. Unless it's as obvious and easy as playing mp4 or using DLNA, then you can perhaps share the trick.

This, I stole from grandpa...It's called soap.

Well, that's great though, really, not the most important characteristic of a console. Come to think of it, I've never had any complaints about console boot time. Still, I guess it'll bring a nice experience.

Whatever man lol my 360 takes like 2 minutes, I'm gonna love this

Menu > System > General > Boot Logo > On/Off

It is really easy.

Hmm, not really an achievement. My TV needs about 30 seconds to deliver a picture.

You sure your not exagerating there, thats pretty bad.

Standby mode on next gen is gonna be great, suspend modes will just make life so much easier, than having to find a save point.

I am definitely not! :) but I am ok with it. Console... Well, the faster the better!

So, you were mocking me! Why on earth, man? I really didn't know.

I hope so, my TV takes forever!

Sorry but I didn't understand can you explain why I was mocking you? It is a option in the menu for almost everything I shared... this is my first HDTV so I don't know if the others TVs have the same features or menus.

May I ask do you have a rear projection?

Although your post was explanatory and helpful, as usual, your PS seemed sarcastic. You, telling that you can also play mp4 and use DLNA made it seem that changing boot settings is as simple and easy as those advertised features.

Then, again these things happen in written word. Don't mind about it :)
