Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One will boot faster than your TV while in standby mode

My TV takes about 20 seconds to turn on, are LCD/LED any faster than that?

My TV takes 10 seconds to startup. The speakers take 6. If your TV takes 30. That seriously is horrible.

Old HDTVs are terrible.

I did a test here with my Sansumg D8000... 10s from power on button until show the image... my biggest complain are with the menus, they are really slow.

My D7000 takes 6seconds. so wtf man? the quad core slowing you down lol.

Looking forward to it.

I don't know but the first batch of D8000 was really slow... my dad's D6000 is faster too .

At least the picture is way better than the D6000

Edit - There is a option to check firmware on internet when the TV starts... new tests.

Hmm, not really an achievement. My TV needs about 30 seconds to deliver a picture.

Wow. You may as well just shut the console completely down each time. I always shut my pc down, always feeling it's better for it, could the same be said for the Xbox One and PS4?

What kind of TV do you have? My old plasma used to take forever too...

I don't know if it's just my TV's or my 360 that does this but my 360 won't actually turn on until I turn my TV on. And I can actually just leave my big TV on (which results in it shutting itself down) and whenever I turn on an input device that's attached to it, it will automatically turn on so that will be a nice feature that goes hand in hand with the X1.

My TV load time is about 12 seconds so it really doesn't matter how fast the X1 is, because until my TV is turned on, the console probably won't turn on.

I turn on my 360, turn on my TV, and the first thing I see is the "end" of the boot-animation. Then I have to sign in, wait until that's done and wait again for the dashboard/Xbox Guide Menu to "warm up".

Now, I don't know how long that takes, but it's nice to hear that you'll be able to Jump In almost instantly. Not a game-changer, though.

Guys I think I found my issues

I disabled the auto-update check... 7 seconds now... I think if I disable the auto wireless connect it will power on in 5 seconds or less.

PS. I removed the boot logo too.

Well I can... I can add widgets too or any app released by Samsung... upload videos... watch YouTube, broser web, Facebook, Twitter, Netflix (but the PS3 player have better quality), etc... I can do everything.

My TV is connected by wireless today... it starts and connect to the internet... I can disable that... the auto firmware update too (Samsung didn't release firmware for months... so it is useless).

The best feature is you can schedule the TV to record videos on PenDrive... I use to get PS3 video/picture footage

PS. I can use DLNA too... play mp4, divx, etc... choose subtitles.
