Xbox One will boot faster than your TV. Standby mode will help to start the game faster. With a simple voice command it will be done.

Xbox One will boot faster than your TV while in standby mode

Xbox On.

Xbox One will "likely" power up faster than your TV when booting from standby mode, Microsoft has claimed.

Clarifying the console's three power states on Reddit, Xbox director of product planning Albert Penello stated that "On is On. Off is Off. Standby allows "Xbox On", quick resume, checking for updates, etc.

"[Standby] is the mode we'd like to see people in, obviously, so you get back to gaming or watching TV really quick. From standby, it's likely the Xbox will be on before the TV is completely powered up."

Standby mode will let users quickly power up their console by saying 'Xbox On' and automatically download software updates while the user is away.

However, it isn't yet known how much power Xbox One will require while in Standby mode or how long the console will take to boot after being fully powered off.

Xbox One launches on November 22.

Hmm, not really an achievement. My TV needs about 30 seconds to deliver a picture.

Damn they know what TV im using -_-

Just kidding :)  Here is the boot by the way

Well, that's great though, really, not the most important characteristic of a console. Come to think of it, I've never had any complaints about console boot time. Still, I guess it'll bring a nice experience.

This, I stole from grandpa...It's called soap.

all console I own boot quicker than my TV... guess I need a new TV.

This.

My notebook "boot" in less than 5 seconds when in Stand By mode (not hibernation)... this Stand By didn't turn off the console/notabook... now the HDTV is Stand By turn everthing off except the inputs from remote control and the scheduler.

Wouldn't that be obvious. The Xbox needs to turn on first in order to tell the Kinect to blast an IR signal to turn the TV on..

You sure your not exagerating there, thats pretty bad.

Standby mode on next gen is gonna be great, suspend modes will just make life so much easier, than having to find a save point.

My TV takes 10 seconds to startup. The speakers take 6. If your TV takes 30. That seriously is horrible.

Old HDTVs are terrible.

I did a test here with my Sansumg D8000... 10s from power on button until show the image... my biggest complain are with the menus, they are really slow.
