May I ask do you have a rear projection?

Well that's cool. "Standby mode" seems to be one of the key features for the upcoming consoles.

You, telling that you can also play mp4 and use DLNA made it seem that changing boot settings is as simple and easy as those advertised features. Then, again these things happen in written word. Don't mind about it :) |
I was not beign sarcastig... sorry if I did that... I just put the PS after because I remembered I removed the boot logo in my last test... so the 7 seconds was without boot logo... so it can help to decrease the time... just saying what I changed to go from 10s to 7s.
And yeah... play MP4 or use DLNA is easy like put the boot logo off... it is all menu options.

Don't worry about it. I'm sorry myself for mis-comprehending. Too bad, my does not have such an option...

This, I stole from grandpa...It's called soap.
My TV is slow as hell, abput 20 secs, but the 360 is worst, almost one minute to load the main menu.
Glad the next generation will be much more responsive.

No, LCD. Samsung LE40B650.

Hey that's cool I guess. It's probably one of those things that you don't think is a big deal until you get used to it, then you can never go backwards. I got 8 seconds on Panny plasma btw. The two old fat 360s in my house have been atrocious as of late with the boot up, one in particular can take so long sometimes that I just shut it off and try to start over.Reach console is still good though.
I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Ok. I was asking because the bulb in a rear projection normally needs to warm up before delivering its normal set brightness. But you might already that.
More tests...
I put off everything I guessed that can delay the HTDV boot but I can't go below 7 seconds.
Not bad at all but I remember the olds CRTs booting in 1-2 seconds

really depends on when you bought into HD. i've purchased 3 HD tvs. two basically at the same time back in 2008 and one just recently to replace one that broke. my old (early gen) HD tv seriously does take like 30 seconds to turn on. my new one, however, is pretty quick. maybe like 5 seconds.
all samsung LCDs btw.
