I am a boy, and a man child so I guess you could call me a kid and I want exactly a PS4 this holiday, I mean I would if I didn't buy it prior to the holidays that is.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Wii U didn't have a lot of hype prior to the launch either.  I seem to remember a lot of people bashing it because it was way too expensive for a system that's just as powerful as the PS3.  Nintendo fans were the only one that were backing it up and repeating how everyone hated the Wii before launch and that sold the most consoles this gen.  Nintendo fans were also fixated on the rumor that the PS4 and Next Box would be just as powerful as the WIi U because graphics have peaked, and that all Wii U games were going to be 1080p 60fps

no i meant there was a survey by famitsu beginning of this year with electronics that people wanted to buy. out of the chart (you could answer multiple answers) around 65% of people asked wanted Vita whle i think a phone or a laptopwas second with like 40% of people then WiiU with around 35% and 3DS had like 20%!

 

Reality 3DS this year has over 80% marketshare in japan to Vita O.o

That's a different situation.  A) many of those responding likely already had a 3DS or PS3, and 2) we're talking about dedicated gamers who read a gaming magazine--many of them might very well have bought a Vita or Wii U.

It is a very different situation.

A) 65% vita +40% +35% +20%= 160%. Lol! Some survey indeed!

I think I got my first mobile phone when I was 18 and it was Nokia that made calls and could play snake. So the idea of an average kid in high school expecting a smart phone makes me wonder how spoiled kids must be getting. Now get off my lawn you whipper snappers.

 Pretty much what I'm saying though. The system did have a decent ammount of hype after E3 '12, because Nintendo promised a super powerful next gen system with a robust online service and third party support unrivaled by any other Nintendo system in history. People who actually purchased it (myself included) didn't get any of that.
