3DS News: November 18, 2013
- Spike's VGX Game Awards are now up for vote. Yay... 3DS nominees in various categories include Fire Emblem: Awakening, Pokemon X/Y, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. That's right, you can vote for games that you can't even have played yet! And that's why the Oscars, hated as they are, are far more respectable than these awards.
- Nintendo put out a new commercial. It's not half bad, even though it's still showing off Mario Kart 7.
- A Silver Luigi-themed 3DS XL is coming to America, bundled with the latest Mario & Luigi game.
- Zelda will be 30 euros at this Dutch store. I don't know much about Dutch game prices, but apparently that's a pretty good deal.
- A bunch of games are coming to the 3DS eSHop this week in Europe. Zelda is the obvious choice, but also take a look at the NES Donkey Kong and the Sonic demo.
- With 40 reviews on Metacritic, Zelda remains at 91. Other than Fire Emblem: Awakening, this makes it the best received non-port/remake for the 3DS.
- Based on VGChartz data, has outsold CoD: Ghosts for the PS3 and 360 combined after their first week. Not bad, even with the lower than usual CoD sales.
- For a school project, I'm making a handheld gaming-based magazine. Just thought you'd get a giggle from that.
