I'm planning on doing a "This week in Nintendo History" here on a weekly basis. Basically, it will be a weekly short feature about a topic surrounding past events, and how they relate to the present. Expect the first one on Saturday!

BTW, it's going to be covering the 20th anniversary of FF6, unless I find anything more interesting to write about.

Looking forward to getting Advance Wars tomorrow. Hopefully NoA doesn't slack off and they release Super Mario Kart as well. Might be asking for too much though :/

They probably aren't. Maybe they'll release it in May in America. They seem to restrict themselves to a couple releases each week from them directly.

Wii U news of 02/04/2014: Will I take the 5000th post? I doubt it...

  • Many, many details for the GBA VC released today! 
  • And when I say many, I mean enough to cove 2 paragraphs of my reports!
  • SHOVEL KNIGHT'S DEVELOPMENT COMING TO AN END!!!! [Do you feel the hype!?]
  • (I'm guessing Sladealpha won't cover sales numbers, so I'll cover that for both Nintendo systems)
  • Media Create: Wii U and 3DS are up from last week! (Actually, everything but PS4) The handheld sold a grand total of 64k units, up 24k. And the Wii U goes up another 3k, to 13k units for the week. According to the heads from VGC, this sudden bump was to evade a rise in taxes that occurs this week in Japan, but a new Wii U bundle also released last week, so we might see a flat week next Wednesday... And as for SW, the chart is absent of Wii U games, but has many 3DS games. MPIT 78k (211k LTD in Japan), Yokai Beast sold another 48k (663k LTD), New love PLus+ realeased with 31k units, and both Kirby and Kaseki (Japanese game) sold exactly 12,966 units!
  • The new Renegade Kid game was announced, and kickstarted, today!
  • A teeny tiny update for Miiverse.
  • The Wii U version of Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Delu... [I hate long titles]... xe Edition is delayed on Europe...
  • Tropical Freeze got an update!
  • Another Zelda item in SSB4!?
  • And lastly, because I couldn't show it yesterday, here's our new "news reporter": Slade6alpha!
