Thanks for that, I'd like to pick up Mario, Yoshi, Toad, Kirby and Toon Link... still not a lot of actual usage out of the amiibo for me since I have no interest in Smash or MP10.

Sakurai stepping away from game development would be a major blow. I don't really care what others say, he makes the Smash games what they are IMO. Would be sad to see him go.

Codename STEAM sounds like an... odd game for sure. A mechanical penguin launcher, a character from Moby Dick, & the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz? I'm not even sure what to say to that xD

I could see him "retiring" for one or (max) two years to take care of his health problems. But people like him can't retire forever. Not because we don't want to, but because it's what motivates them, what their body and mind demand them to do.

Because of that, I'd say to him "take your time, get well and enjoy life ... that way when you come back you'll be in full force."

Downloading Metroid Prime Trilogy onto my Wii U as we speak! $10 is a hell of steal, probably the best deal in gaming history. And I didn't think anything would beat the Bayonetta 2 bundle. It's time to see what all the fuss is about when it comes to these games!

Also, if Sakurai really is done with developing games, that's just a tragedy. I mean, he's certainly left his mark and it would be understandable if he was done, but he's such an integral part of Nintendo that it would just be depressing. Hopefully he decides to just take a short break rather than full on retirement.

I hope Sakurai just becomes more laid back and chill when developing, instead of over-working himself all the time.
