So now, they just need to confirm if the footage was running on an actual console, or the infamous "devkit" with a gtx 700 inside.

I think they could be using the second one, since the console at this stage can't even handle cod at 1080 60 fps let alone a game that looks this good. Unless it is doing so at sub-720...

Its my 2nd faveourite game this gen. Alan Wake that is. AN was more a TPS than phsycological storytelling. Te weater effects in Wake are still some of the best even at the end of the gen. 

Of course it is, if selnor doesn't keep up the posts promoting the greatness of xbone they may fire him ;)

The X1 exclusive games are blowing everything out of the water right now. Too bad that not all 3rd party developers do not know how to tap the power of the console yet.

Sorry its already confirmed running on actual hardware. And no Exclusive game will be running poorly. It will be fully optimized for Xbox One. The same way Forza 5 is 1080p 60fps. Ryse 900p. Etc etc. 

Remeber Guirella Games at E3 had to ask Crytek to prove they werent running on a PC. Of which Crytek gladly opened the cupboards and showed they werent.

From my point of view the development is coming along well and with the optimizations we have put in, I am pretty confident the final game will look better than what we showed at E3. I even had to open the cupboard to prove it to some guys from Guerilla who didn’t believe me. I just have this itching feeling that, among all this technobabble that is going on, there is some awesome power hidden within X1 that only the exclusive developers have been able to tap at the moment which is why the games right now look more beautiful than anything I have seen on console.

I might try hook up a controller to my pc and give it a shot tomorrow.

Its definately worth it. Alan Wakes storytelling is brilliant. The 2nd half of the game is pure awesome sauce. Also Remedy said they will revisit Alan Wake 2 when the time is right. Hopefully after QB.

It looks fantastic,infinity ward should learn a trick or two...
