Forums - Microsoft - Xbox has no freakin' games!

This thread is like an exercise in psychology. It started as the 360 doesnt have exclusives and ended as 360 doesnt have any games.

I applaud and loathe MS's tactic of dropping their consoles in 3rd/4th quarter of its Lifetime to boost appeal of the next one.

-On one hand I would feel robbed. I expect them to at least keep making stuff for the console until it's relevance has completely been replaced by Next Gen, which it won't for another 2 years. It is time repeating. Xbox did it, now 360 is doing it. In that time Sony has been outputing stellar exclusives every year. I didn't expect them to keep up as long as Sony, but at least until the XBO CAME OUT!!!

-Then you can look at it this way. Dropping current gen like a bad habbit allows MS to makes their XBO line up much more appealing. I would bet most of their games were slated for current gen but moved over to next. MS already got all the sales they are going to get for 360, and they already lost that war with PS3 passing it in sales. Time to start anew and try again. Sony could stand to NOT have released some of these games on PS3, and held them for PS4. Beyond and Puppeteer come to mind. Both great titles, overshadowed by behemoths (GTAV, COD:Ghost, BF4, Assassin's Creed, GT5, AND Console Launches), they never had a chance. If they had been pushed to next gen they would have had more spotlight.

Nevertheless, this is one of the reasons I continue to believe MS doesn't take the gaming industry seriously. They just want to control the market and protect their pride and joy, Windows.

Take a hint from this guy there are more then enough games on the 360.

I wager you could rack up that kind of gamerscore on the Multiplats this gen alone. THis means nothing when you  think of all the games not available to you that you want to play on "the Other" console. 360 has plenty of Great Exclusive games, no doubt. PS3 seemingly has a lot more tho.

------------------------

For the comment that this is trying to detere the fact that Next Gen PS4 lineup is poor, I beg to differ. Most games are multiplat next gen launch. Most if not all of those games will perform better techwise on PS4. The Exclusives Retail? Sure, Sony only has KZ and Knack after Driveclub fell through. Buy Forza 5, Ryse, Dead Rising 3 isn't much better. Only one from each is from an aclaimed series, Forza and KZ.

Also note how I didn't put Killer Instinct and the like in there. Because KI, Lococycle,Crimson Dragon, Powerstar Golf are all Downloadable only titles....which seem to be being discredited this Launch because Sony has an overabundance of them.

Who really cares about "Launch Day" anyway tho? We know they always kinda suck but its more so about what is to come in the future. Titanfall, Infamous SS, Driveclub, The Order 1886 are all around the corner. This holiday will be over before you kow it and the real deciders will come into play.

The problem is; MS has plenty of multiplat titles as someone suggested. I have played virtually all of them; I've played over 100 games on the 360.

I wouldn't bitch if the 360 got some PS3 titles such as Tales, and Dragon's Crown.

It's definitely better to be a PS3 owner than a 360 in the coming years. Oh and Titanfall is an exception; there are no other exclusives coming to 360 in the near future.

PS3 may have a few more retail exclusives but when it comes to dowloadable games the 360 destroys the PS3 with the number advantage most people that think the 360 has not a lot of games have no clue since they never owed one or only had one a long time ago.

MS didn't lose the war since they sold the most software this generation both physical and especially digital (since the 360 has more digital content then all other home consoles combined).   Also the 360 was never sold at a huge loss like the PS3 was for the first couple of years of its life cycle.  PS3 still was the big loser this gen they sold more consoles at a loss then MS and Nintendo combined.  Selling the most consoles doesn't make you the winner selling the most software is what matter since that is what generates the profits.

That's definitely a reasonable conclusion; MS came in as the underdog whereas Sony had massive brand loyalty following PS2. However, I feel as though MS has alienated many of its loyal consumers. Xbox used to be pretty balanced; a place for great single player games, JRPGs, and of course multiplayer games. Now I feel as though MS has shifted focus on XB1 for multiplayer games only.

I doubt you will see many JRPGs on the XB1 or any interesting single player exclusives. That's why I'm jumping ship to PS4. I'm not even remotely interested in the XB1 because I don't really care about multiplayer or shooters.

Yeah I highly doub that you played over 100 games on the 360 especially since you don't even have your gamertag public anywhere.  I played 87 games on the 360 and I still have a huge backlog of 360 by the time I'm done I'm sure I will have played over 150 games on the 360.  Fable Anniverasry is still coming out early next year plus there are still plenty of online exclusives to come.

Both the X1 and PS4 will have very few JRPG's this generation the majority of them will be on the 3DS or other handheld devices.  JRPG's don't sell enough anymore to justify making a lot of them on home consoles.  As for single player exclusives the X1 will have plenty of them it already getting one as a launch title in Dead Rising 3.

I'm talking about the 360, I'm so pissed and I feel neglected by MS. Look at what the PS3 has had this year: Beyond (even though it sucked), Last of Us, Ni No Kuni, Tales of Xilia, Dragon's Crown, Puppeteer  etc, etc.

Where are the exclusives on the 360? GoW Judgment doesn't really count; it was pretty mediocre. Besides Halo 4, there hasn't been a solid exclusive for the 360 in years. The last memorable one was Alan Wake and that was many years ago.

Does anyone else feel really robbed? Why did MS just give up? They didn't even bother keeping some exclusives truly exclusive like Bioshock, Mass Effect, real system sellers. Instead they wasted all their money on timed DLC for shooters and sports games. Truly amazing, and the sole reason I'm getting a PS4 and not an XB1

Another anti MS Xbox 1 rant.
