On Wii there was the Wii ____ series, Xenoblade, Disaster Day of Crisis,  Endless Ocean.

As for legacy IPs, Wii also revived several, like Sin & Punishment, Punch-Out, and Excite Truck/Bots.

A couple of those were released exclusively in Japan in generations before I listed them but u get the point, every Nintendo system has a few new IPs

You're correct I miss spoke. As for the wii u, they have come out with a legendary game new or legacy. Wonderful 101 is good but it's not a game I'm going to come back to. Right off the bat, wii had twilight princess, excite truck and wii sports. Gamecube had Rogue squadron, Smash brothers melee.  N64 had Super Mario 64 and pilot wings. I periodically go back and play them to this day. It's a year in and it's all one and done games. This was the point I failed to make. I'm not saying the company is toast, but till they come out with legendary titles like they used to launch with sales will continue to suffer. To me bragging about beating out vita just says, "Atleast we are not that hot mess".

In that case I agree with u, Wii U didnt have a big must have title at launch and hasnt had one yet. Things are starting to look up tho with this holiday and 2014 line up, there doesnt seem to be one single huge killer app but the combination of 3D World/Tropical Freeze/Mario Kart/Smash Bros and smaller support titles should really help.


Sorry to give you the wrong impression:). I'm a longtime nintendo fan, just waiting for the legendary games. 3Dworld, Kart and smash are a great start. Not much of a DK man but hopefully the 4 listed will get the sales ball rolling as well.

Im sure they will, thats 4 series that always sell over 5m releasing in a span of 6 months (if the rumor about Kart/Smash releasing in April/May is true)

Wait, I thought the WiiU was supposed to be dooooomed?

Congrats little WiiU! Now, onto a holiday. Although, the Vita is going to be sold with the PS4 so it might make some kind of comeback.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

I never undestood why people ask for a permaban in the first place. If you dont wanna visit the website, just dont go to the website. I guess asking for it is attention seeking way of saying bye

Will Vita make a comeback though? If wiiu does very well tis christmas i dont think so, nxt year there is SSB+MK8+X+LoZ!

I'm thinking probably not.  Not impossible, just extremely unlikely.

However, I know they are pushing that Vita TV, but I don't think it will fly in the states with so much competition from other less expensive and higher resolution options.

It seems a big push is how the PS4/Vita work together.  But I haven't seen a 'must have' yet for the general public.  The combo is much more expensive than a WiiU, and you can use whatever you have with SmartGlass on the Xbox.

The rumored new small Ipads, Kindles, and Surfaces all will overshadow the Vita.

If the Wii U was dead there, yes. Same as Vita passing the  Dreamcast in europe, irrelevant

People point out when living consoles outsell dead ones all the time. There were heaps of threads when 360 passed the original Xbox, Wii passed the NES, etc.

 

Not the same thing ,  its not a performance for a living console to outsell dead consoles since their launch.
