It's not easy doing a global launch of a console. This is not easy for either Sony or MS... 

Doing a 2 day review allows them to do Massive PR and get people all in one place. It also means they dont have to necessarily ship lots of dev kits worldwide to these people. It's funny how these journo's expect to get kit for free, but thats another argument. If they are working on a patch, perhaps they dont want to send out dev kits and update them all... perhaps PSN isnt ready yet...

So i personally dont find it strange, and I wouldnt blame MS for doing the same. This is a massive day for both companies, and will be their launchpad to the next few years, of course they want to control it. These Journos need to just go to the event, play the games and tell people their impressions.. if they are not able to look past the free food/goodies/drinks then they are not worth listening too.

If day 1 all new consoles blow up, we will know about it from users not these leeches called journalists.

I've gone through that blog several times now in search of some sign of intelligence (in vain). What is interesting, though, is that several "contributors" have the same writing style and make the same spelling errors. Anyways, if anyone wants to see something really, really pathetic, his blog is the ultimate address.

I do. Why wouldn't we? These issues if true will be fixed over time.

You can tell everyone in that thread wants it to be true (why would you?) and people across the net these days will hang onto any rumour regardless of its origin.

The problem is that some of the rumours will be true and some will be false, but its more of a problem if a site becomes too powerful... then an incorrect rumour can be very harmful to an individual or company... which isnt particularly nice.

I enjoy reading Neogaf (though they havent approved my account)... i find the different things fascinating, but I can see the frustration when truths get denied when they are obvious and when rumours/false information is lept on. It's just not good either way.

I don't understand how a the failure of a console you never planned on buying would make you have more fun on something else. this is like sports.

For anyone that watches basketball, xbox one is the bulls and negaf, (along with a few people here who are better off just reading post on negaf) are heat fans.
