Then I saw my brother play it and got it the next day. Nothing else comes to mind.

I can't really think of any off the top of my head, but I used to think Rockstar games were overrated until I played Red Dead Redemption and it changed my perspective of them and now I love their games lol.

I told myself I wasn't going to get GTAV until after my Midterms. That didn't go too well. I ended up passing my English and Calculus tests, failed Chemistry though.

Madden 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013. I've avoided 25 and gotten past the temptation period (beginning of the season). So happy I have because the demo was horrendous and I sold 2013 a week after purchasing it. 2009 was awesome but after that it's been very samey. The whole Madden skill system was really cool and then they effed it up in the sequels.

Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. I've stuck to my word when I said I wasn't getting Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 though.

There are quite a few games I said I'd never buy actually, even games I'd call shit at a glance and end up loving them later. Final Fantasy VII being one of them, now my favourite game of all time.

The last two Call of Duty's. I got good value and fun out of them but it's time to give the franchise a break. So i am determined to ignore Ghosts!

Halo and World of Warcraft. Because people get sooo into them and it takes over their lives.

I ended up really like the special silver Halo: Reach Xbox 360 Model S. Turns out I liked the game, so much more than I thought I would. I had played the original a little bit, so knew it was more than 'just shoot things' but didn't know the story would touch me like it did.

Friends gave me World of Warcraft and a few months for my Bday. Ended up gaming quite a bit with them before I left it for consoles.

Both are fun.

Oh yeah... Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3; my first COD. Fell for the hype... bought it, played it, returned it. Will never buy another COD again.
