Forums - Sony - Target cancelling PS4 pre-order bundles containing Watch Dogs or DriveClub

That is real shitty of Target to do. No care for the customers who actually went and preordered it to begin with.

I am guessing the same applies to anyone who preordered a XBone Watchdogs bundle, even though it isn't stated. It would be very odd if that wasn't the case.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Why are people blaming Target so fast.. Maybe Sony isn't replacing the bundles for them so Target doesn't have the PS4s to switch the preorders.. Maybe Sony gave Amazon more systems because of the mess and left Target with none.. People act like Target is happy with this damaging their brand name

Strange behavior from Target, why not just offer a substitute?

Totally unacceptable, whether it's Target's fault or, as NiKKom suggested, Sony's fault. I would be absolutely furious if this happened to me. Hopefully, Target and/or Sony can fix this problem before launch.

@others: I know this is a sales site, but, seriously, why bring PS4 sales into the mix here? It derailed the thread almost immediately. Can't we just sympathize with the consumers getting screwed here without worrying about pre-order numbers or lifetime sales for once?

Maybe is Sony's fault, but the only responsible with the costumer is Target here. So if you screw your costumer, is Target who have to fix the problem with the costumer.

This is weird ...

I was expecting them to just give a credit or something on the pre-order of the actual game when it will come out and give them a day one edition console without any game on launch day...

This sucks for those who pre-ordered the bundle...

If its sonys fault why is target the only ratailer cancelling, more like there systems are out of date and they dont have a good way to transfer preorders. A game being delayed doesnt effect the amount of consoles Sony can make, just what box there in, printing new boxes is easy.

Damn that is crazy. So people who preordered a bundle from Target might not get one at launch now. I know I would be pissed.

Target are clearly to blame because they said pre-orders will be open next week, with no preference for those with orders cancelled.  Even if they now have less stock, they clearly will have stock and they could have offered them to people with cancelled orders only first, or even better, those who pre-ordered first.

Maybe there are more canceled pre orders then new available pre orders.. How would they have solved that? If you offered them to the canceled one first and run out screwing a part of the customers not once but twice

Guys, its definitly Targets fault. Their first system they allowed pre-orders for was the Wii U and I think it was just in store preorders. They havent gotten this type of thing down yet.
