Source?

If this is true, where are they selling those boxes at? The US, Japan, and the main countries in Europe certainly aren't the cause for it to be up YoY. Are they really doing that well in other markets now?

MS NPD quote :)

They must be, perhaps Mexico and latin america. They sell it cheap there I believe.

I also remember hearing a while back 360 was the best selling console in Asia sans Japan (not sure if it meant for the week, month or year). I honestly didn't know what to make of that though since it seems so unfeasable.

I do know that the 360 is killing it in Mexico though(and probably Latin America too).

Oh i thought it was sold to consumers or adjusted up here on VGC for a second.

So they shipped 80 mill.. I wonder how much the ps3 and Wii have shipped

Yup, does mean 360 shipped 1.8m+ last Q which is up YOY

Healthy it is! Good stuff! Actually, it's really good, when you consider it's had little to no hardware pushers nor price cuts, this year.

More than they deserve really, the holiday bundles they've just announced are based on pure greed.

If they ship 1.9m this Q though that means they're up YOY for the entire year, somehow 0_o

What's in those bundles? Hadn't seen 'em.

Halo 4, Kinect bundles. It's the prices that are insulting, think MS forget this hardware is 8 years old not 4. (None are below $199 and they're not good value for money IMO)

Congrats to them. With good work and patience maybe they can reach 100 mill with x360 too.

somehow I read this as "Halo Reaches 80M"

...don't ask

That would make sense considering they are manufacturing it right in Brazil and being able to sell it for less. It does seem that the 360 is very popular in the entire Western Hemisphere (Canada, USA, Mexico, South America, and Latin America).

@Seece: Surely they'll be cutting the prices on the 360 this year right? The amount of time they've postponed actually giving the 360 a permanant price cut is just ridiculous. I just can't see them waiting until next year to cut the prices.

Link please? :)

@ Yo_John - You would think so, I've given up expecting one. It's long overdue, 5 years.

360 should be $129 by now.

Jay, look in the NPD thread on here or gaf and you'll see Microsoft's statement.

Its kicking butts in the expanding markets. Overtracked ~300k in USA for the Year would give us ~1.5 Million on shelves/ships?

Not possible.

Hugely undertracked by around what, 900k? Maybe more?

Perhaps, but more importantly it's overtracked in the US overall by over 1.6 million lol
