It's all gewd! I guess this is all the more reason you should play double battles since they end faster!

I'd say they're the other way around. Single battles require more switching out as type match-ups are more significant, hoarding all defensive EVs into one stat is more effective, and overall slower strategys are more viable. I mean, the average double battle takes sub 10 turns, the average single battle 15+ turns (atleast from my experience), so yeah. :L
