You do realize that games with more content are successful such a GTA V. Do you see a trend here buddy because I can see it from a mile away. (Destiny and watchdogs will be a smash success just so y;know.)

How can you compare one of the biggest franchises in history that's not even in the same genre to something considered a cult classic franchise? Seriously, very few games will ever reach GTAV success, but that doesn't mean they are failures. I really have no idea what your problem with Killer Instinct is, but your argument doesn't hold any wait. That's like comparing Call of Duty to the Witcher, doesn't make any fucking sense.

BTW KI is 1/3rd the price of GTAV. By the time KI ever hits $60 worth of content there will be at least 24 characters on the roster. I would consider that a good price for the content.

That's the problem with fighters in general. They don't get the appeal in the mass market to support the franchise. What if killer instinct sells bad ? What are you gonna do once fighters die ? Hardcore fans need to shut up in order for the genre to grow.

Unless Killer Instinct turns into a turd before launch I don't think it will sell bad, probably over a million. I suspect most fighting games are in the A-AA budget range, so they don't need to sell millions of copies to be successful. Fighting games wont die anytime soon, there will always be a want for fighting games, hence why there are huge tournaments every year.

@Bold It's made by double helix and their trying to revive a franchise from around two generations ago. (Yeah everything will end well LOL.)

I've only heard positive previews about the game. The thread it-self is about Justin Wong, a huge competitor in the fighting scene, is saying the game could "Blow up". Idk about you, but that speaks volumes about the potential quality that is there.

You don't know about him? He's downplayed everything from price to how it plays from when it came out to why it won't sell well. Seems like he really doesn't want the game to do well.

If I'm wrong then I apologize but this is what I'm reading from him.

Dead wrong, I couldn't care less whether this game failed or not but I ain't interested and so will the rest of the masses. If the hardcore fans want to enjoy their classic then let them but that won't change a thing as to how the mass market will view it.

I am still wondering why Microsoft waited until their 3rd console to make this game. It better have quality in order to compete in this genre. Also, I think this is the only fighter game being release with next gen consoles so maybe it will have a larger following given the lack of other titles.

By "blow up" i'm guessing he means the competitive scene.

The problem with that is that... I think most of the competitive e sports fighting fans are on the Playstation due to the better D-pad. (Not all pro's tend to get official/prosticks.)

Lets be frank here... Justin Wong liked every fighter out there. Its his work. He needs to like them or his job would suck.

Who plays fighting games for the campaigns?

(Quietly raises hand)

I played through the whole Super Smash Brothers Brawl champagne on the Wii and love it.  First console campaign I think I ever finished - well at least in years.  (Hated it sometimes too when I had to play a character I didn’t know how to use.)

Also, awesome music!  It has such awesome music.  I hope Killer Instinct has that too.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

The FGC has been going downhill since Evo. Hopefully Guilty Gear xrd, Killer Instinct and Smash Bros reverse the downward trend. Of course being platform exclusives probably won't help. (How cool is that btw - every system has an exclusive fighting game).

Ultra Street Fighter 4 needs to come out ASAP.

I can't be the only one that laughed when he said it's the best next gen fighter announced right? It's the ONLY next gen fighter announced. Any others that I can think of that are on next gen consoles are also on PS3/360.
