Forums - Nintendo - Illegal Nintendo Clones Are Running Rampant On Windows Store

They are everywhere, popping up so fast nobody can keep up with them.

*Glares at Android and iOS* right..........

So what? Nintendo can sue them.

But in all fairness, I doubt games like these hurt the brand. Everyone knows Nintendo quality, and I doubt that anyone who would be ready to purchase a real Nintendo game could be fooled by them.

Plenty of iOS users paid .99 for a fake Pokemon Yellow that supposedly didn't work after the title screen.

Yes it does affect the Nintendo brand, the people who would buy something like this will assume Nintendo either made it or autherized the creation of the game, and when something like the above Pokemon Yellow happens who do you think they will blame. People today are not that smart and definatly are not savvy consumers.

Users that would have not purchased a 40$ Pokemon anyways... my point still stands.

I just wonder what Apple did with the money that fake Pokemon generated... Did they give it to Nintendo? I highly doubt it; they probably just kept it to themselves.

Yeah probally kept all the revenue and just gave a slap on the wrist to the person who put it up. Their newest rip off is probally on there and doing well.
