Forums - Microsoft - Major Nelson will suggest reviving Futurama as Xbox exclusive

Good idea....If only we could get family guy to be canceled.

Hahaha, holy shit. 10 years ago, this would've been more of a system seller for me than any video-game Microsoft could've thought up.

Unfortunately, it went out with a whimper rather than a bang at the end of the final (currently) season. 1-4 were all kinds of fantastic. The revived feature-length episodes were generally good, with "Beast with a billion backs" being the highlight. Season 6 was incredibly hit and miss, and the first time I've felt like skipping certain episodes. Still, things like "Prisoner of Benda" and "The Late Phillip J Fry" being up there with anything in the first 4.

Then Season 7 came, and missed a lot more than it hit, and I finally felt ready to say goodbye to the show. I have no doubt that I'll be rewatching the whole series time and time again in the future, but I don't have the same desire to see new exploits of Planet Express crew anymore. They've told all the good stories they can tell, and getting 1-2 good episodes in a 20+ episode season isn't good enough.

It's the same way I feel about Arrested Development. I was so hyped about them reviving it, and there were plenty of good episodes in the new season, but there was also plenty of rubbish in there, and I went away thinking "I'm not too fussed if I see the Bluths again or not".

It's a shame. And a nice idea from Hyrb, but I feel that what little of their fanbase was actually left wouldn't be back for a new season, especially if it required a console purchase that they may or may not have.

I think Arrested Development would have been fine, it's just that they couldn't get the cast together for a proper season.  They decided to do those character episodes instead.  It was hit and miss because of it.  If they could get them all together for a proper run, then I think it would be just as good.

Just let it rest in honor ?!??!! The show already showed that it was one of the better animated series the last 15 years

Never understood the appeal of this show. Looked pretty freaking stupid when I watched an episode or 1 minute to be honest. Oh well good luck with it I guess.

if you follow the dialogue, its almost genius.

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

Im ready for more Futurama, more King of the Hill to if you can :P

Oh yeah, that is that. And to the people that bashed Arrested Development on Netflix, shame on you, I loved that season.

My issue was ADs strength was always the cast and understanding the right amount of time to use a character in an episode.  The reboot tried something different by doing character focused episodes, but this led to an uneven feeling for me.  I loved some episodes, but others were just okay due to my character preference.  Honestly I tend to agree this reboot business is so hard because the old episodes gather such a cult following that the jokes become memes so regardless of quality put out will fall short of expectations.

I actually enjoyed majority of Futurama reboot that were on Comedy Central.  Still, it ran its course and was fine to see it close out.  I'd rather a show leave early making me want more than continue on sullying the memory.  At this point I even have gotten over Firefly's insanely poor handling by Fox.

I also loved the new FUTURAMA, actually cried in some episodes...

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I do understand that, but I'd rather they didn't bring it back at all than bring it back without the cast being able to get together.

The Lindsay & George Snr. episodes were truly painful to watch.  It was only when they got up to GOB/Lucille/Maeby that the show truly felt like Arrested Development again.

Plus, the whole season felt filled with character assassination.  I know the Bluth's were always an unlikeable family, but they hit some ridiculous new lows in S4.

That would be the single worst and dumbest thing to happen to Futurama fans.

Make it Netflix exclusive or something? Understandable. Making it GAME CONSOLE exclusive? Fucking retarded.
