My issue was ADs strength was always the cast and understanding the right amount of time to use a character in an episode. The reboot tried something different by doing character focused episodes, but this led to an uneven feeling for me. I loved some episodes, but others were just okay due to my character preference. Honestly I tend to agree this reboot business is so hard because the old episodes gather such a cult following that the jokes become memes so regardless of quality put out will fall short of expectations. I actually enjoyed majority of Futurama reboot that were on Comedy Central. Still, it ran its course and was fine to see it close out. I'd rather a show leave early making me want more than continue on sullying the memory. At this point I even have gotten over Firefly's insanely poor handling by Fox. |
I also loved the new FUTURAMA, actually cried in some episodes...
