What the Hell is wrong With Capcom LMAO?

Yes With Capcom's Forecast of Monster Hunter 4 selling 2.8mil in 7 months looks like a joke and all, but its what they predicted. In MH4 First 4  weeks on the market it has surpassed 2.8mil units, making it hit the mark 7 times faster than anticipated!

With holidays sales to boot, the sky is the limit! How far can it go? Capcom are pretty sleazy in saying sucha low number (even though i thought it hit in Dec >_<)

Here are the numbers (from media create)

As of Oct 6th, MH4 has sold 2,542,615 in Retail. Add the first 2 days of total of digital sales (255k) and it equals exactly 2.8mil sales! This doesn't include 3 weeks of Digital sales. So we could be looking at 2.83mil-2.85mil!

(The numbers really add up to 2,797,615 which is 2.5k short but if you think it hasn't sold over that in 3 weeks then pls just leave the thread

Capcom is saved confirmed.

Not sure why Capcom underestimated the sales of MH4 so much. The game is virtually sold out at retail (99.6% sell through this past week of sales data Source) and with the holiday season approaching, I'm assuming that the legs will be quite impressive.

Not surprisingly, Capcom and Nintendo hit the jackpot. Let's see how big the prize is.

I think everyone here knew the 2.8m in 7 months number was the easiest target in the history of easy targets. I don't know what Capcom was thinking, maybe it was a spelling mistake and it was supposed to be 8.2 .

Congrats to the game anyway, the franchise seems to be a good fit for 3DS and Nintendo in general. I think it has a shot at becoming the #1 Monster Hunter by sales, but it's not certain yet.

Pushing for digital.. makes them more money..

Wait for holiday! Pokemon might benefit MH4, so sales might rise with much more of a user base

they prepared for the worst and waited for the best fortunately it happened, good for both capcom and nintendo

Meh because everybody knew that a brand new Monster Hunter game would do much more than that. It is the same as if Nintendo said their target for Pokémon X & Y was 2.8mil, or that Rockstar said their target for GTAV was 8mil.

not really, some people believed it would do it fast but not as fast. I had prediction thread for FW sales and Everybody had predictions od 1mil-1.2mil some had 1.3mil-1.5mil! only like 2 or 3 people predicted 1.7mil-1.9mil and it end up outselling MHP3 FW by a couple Thousand.

Nobody predicted it sell this much already, i have another prediction thread i made up i'll post it here soon. This is definitely amazing cuz nobody expected 2.8mil within a month. Holiday yes but not before pokemon released
