PC, there is a larger library to choose from, and you can wait a year or two for the PS4 to drop price and have a few exclusive releases if you really want it. Last generation I owned all consoles, and the HD twins were pretty much obsolete when having a gaming PC around. This generation that will be even more true. Also, I'm pretty sure most people upgrade their PC's every 4 or so years anyway, regardless of whether it's a gaming PC or not, so in 4 years when your PC is outdated (and not so easily upgradeable - outdated architecture, etc) you can buy/build a PC  much, much cheaper than the PS4 that will run games much better. With the $$ saved from game purchases, it would be around the same total cost for 5-6 years of gaming, and a superior experience.

Lately I've been thinking of skipping the PS4 for a while and maybe investing the money I save into a stronger future PC.

After all I'm mostly interested in multiplats and nearly all of them come out on PC. Even Dark Souls comes out on PC nowadays.

I would miss out on the next Dragon's Dogma though, and in worst case even Red Dead Redemption 2.

Btw, is MGS5 coming to PC? That game is important to me.

How much are you willing to spend on a PC? If it's less than $800, you might as well buy a PS4. PC doesn't have much to offer other than free online (a big plus), and better graphics. Most 3rd party games will be made based on the PS4 and Xbone capabilities. You also get a better selection of good games by getting a PS4 unless you're really into RTS games.

Also, don't be misled about Steam sales and Humble Bundle. They both offer great deals on games (Bioshock Infinite is $13.59 on Steam, and Darksiders 2 comes in the current Humble Bundle for $6), but a most sales are for incredibly old (Half Life 2) or terrible (SpellForce 2) games.

If you NEED a new PC then might as well get a good one, however if it is working fine get the PS4

If you're going for the PC, you'd might want to wait for one of those Steam machines. I feel like they will be a game changer. Personally i'd go for the PS4 though :D

Thought about self building? I wouldn't be looking at playing the latest games on that past 720P and 30fps to be honest.

not techy enough to build, I don't know my hardware well. If a rig like that is only producing 30 fps and the 600 doller price tag is all I can afford.. ouch not that thats bad but if the reason i would get into pc gaming is for lots of frame rate and no lag what so ever. I think at this moment I will go with ps4 and I will get both and seeing as all the upcoming mmo's I like are all in development I think pc can wait and give me time to find somthing really good a beast of a pc. I just hope that the ps4 launch console is not as bugged or have problems as others in the past.. I guess thats the risk of an early buyer.

this would be my first sony console, ive had psp and psvita but not a home console. Are there any good local multiyplayer sony games other then LBP?

None whatsoever^ Any local games they have are racing or platformers I think.
