You heard it here folks! To all the people that think XY will decline simply cuz BW did or people who think cuz BW2 sold 7mil WorldWide, yor all in for a Shock!

To the people who believe in pokemon xy will do great, Get ready to party O.o As of Now I can say im confident in it making top 10 in Japan. We also have MH4/AC new leaf coming into at least top 20 of all time in Japan!

 

I really believe it can be close if not surpass 6mil lifetime... What do you all think? Too crazy of a prediction? Post your thoughts

Diamond and Pearl beat 6m, so I don't see why this one wouldn't. However, I do believe it won't make it retail.

thats impossible, pokemon red/blue has over 10mil sales, nothing has ever come close, not even Mario

This pokemon has had a lot of hype! Plus the 3DS is still early in its life. There may not even be another pokemon this gen on the 3ds. It is already 2-3 years in its cycle.


mario is a system seller though, Pokemon Z will come next year or in 2 years and so will Pokemon Remakes of Sapphire/Ruby. trust me!

Mario on Wii U ( including Luigi U) has sold how many copies? You sure it is a system seller? Mario Kart maybe.


1. Yes its a system seller, its one game your talking about since NSLU is really DLC sold seperately. WiiU sold 3.5mil and NSMBU has over 2mil sales... Yes its a system seller, dont forget it was a launch title.

2. 3DS might be around another 5 years, it hasn't been 3 yet. Pokemon New generations come out every 3-4 years so there will be another in 2016-2017. also to note Pokemon Black/White came out when 3DS came out so it doesn't matter if a new handheld is out

I agree about NSLU!

And about Mario, look at the attach rate.  It doesn't matter that it hasn't sold as much as previous titles, it still moves systems and it probably will always be a system seller.

You realize that black and white 2 were for ds even though the 3ds was out already? There could be another generation or two for the 3ds.
