Just so you know it wasn't me that did this. :P

In the end Super Mario 3D World will be on about 20-25% of all the Wii U's out there.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I mean, the gamecube was on par with the competition, the Wii was unique and had a great gimmick. but, what the WiiU has besides classic Nintendo franchises in HD?

Im not expecting a miracle, Iim expecting the games that consistantly sell over 5m to boost hardware sales. Wii U has another 4 years or so, do u think it will continue to sell at this rate for its ebtire life?

I don´t know man, it is a little scary these days, never before a new system had to face two juggernautic competitors at the same time in a holyday, and, for what i am hearing, the diferences beetween hardware are like Atari 2600 to NES kinda of gap.

I try to compare to the Gameboy and Gamegear, or DS to PSP, or even NES to Sega Genesis, cases in which the older hardware prevailed, but it is not the same situation, is it?

The thing with Mario 3d World is, it looks a lot like Mario 3d Land, which i own and like a lot, so, I was predicting good sales for it, cause it is a fun game.

But, there are 3,5 mi WiiUs out there, so, that is the ceiling really. Of course, the holydays are coming, but, in my opinion, there are tons of people whor going to choose the next gen consoles or the much cheaper and as appealing current gen consoles.

Mario 3D Land is looking good, but it is not like Pac Man on Atari, in which it shipped more units than were atari consoles on the market.

I guess that, lifetime it could reach 4 million units, but I still think that the next year will be miserable for Nintendo consoles (not the handhelds). As the next gen makes it clear how much better their games are and ubisoft realize that the wiiU ports are not profitable, the things will ger really bleak.

In other hand, I do think that each flagship title will generate at least half a million sales, so, Nintendo still has a lot of ground to cover, we haven´t seen yet any signs of:

- Pokemon U,

- Zelda U;

- FZero U;

- Metroid U;

- Erthbound U;

- kirby U;

- trauma center U;

- Ace Attorney U.

So, these games could at least double the install base.

The question is: how long will last the interest on MARIO 3D WORLD?

I think that, if the next gen FLOP REALLY HARD, then the game can sell what you guys predicted, but in my opinion, those new consoles will really destroy in the market.

Anyway, I raise my prediction to 3-4 million lifetime with a direct install base increase of 1-1,5 million.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

I think it could do 8 million! I belive in the Wii U!

There is a brazilian company that still produces and sell Master Systems here, they come with 132 games in the memory and no cartridge slot, to this date, the Master System sold 5 million units in Brazil, which is a lot. If Nintendo could seduce some latin american countries like Brazil and Argentina, they would be set for a while. Put some kids playing WiiU on the brazilian soap operas, make WiiU giveaways in the argentinean tv shows, it would be cool.

Exactly man! I never understood why our countries don't exist for Nintendo . They would be a lot more sales as Nintendo consoles are cheaper!

Nintendo is lacking on marketing campaing, both here in LA and in other countries

They need to get the general public to know the diference between their last two systems (something that the name doesnt help to) because even though those nintendo directs are great for the users, they dont attract the attention from general public

For example, sony and microsoft say things like "Hey users, there is a new generation consoles with ALL NEW GRAPHICS, but the same way to play because we realized you liked it" and is quite effective.

Also i dont get how some users talk about the poor sales of WiiU as if it was something good or "needed". I bet they want a polarized market where you only have two ways to choose and less competition, as if they were part of one of those companies

Yeah I never understood why the marketing campaign was so lackluster. I mean the consoles is quite cool and you can play in some innovative ways! They need to market this console as hell, I think we could see a PS3 like turnaround .

Poor sales of Wii U is definitely NOT good or needed. Those comments are dumb, competition is good. Don't hear those people, the day Nintendo makes a turnaround you can splash the facts to their faces xD
