We all know how GTA4 got 10/10s across the board despite not really deserving it. Are reviewers doing the same thing over again (either they're too hyped up, are paid to write by the publisher, or the rating system is broken)? I'm holding off buying it until I'm sure it won't be a waste of time.

I'm enjoying it a lot more than GTAIV.

If you didn't like the other GTA games it is a waste of money. The game is a quite overrated.

I'm skeptical too. Guess I'll wait for a Super GTAV Turbo DLC bundle.

It's miles better than 4, not that it was hard to do. but i don't believe it's a 97. one of the better games of the gen for sure. But not the best. I'd give it like a 94.

Eh, maybe. I don't really listen to review scores, but I do read the reviews. I read reviews for GTA V and thought "this isn't for me". Meanwhile, I saw reviews for Wonderful 101 and thought "I'm gonna love this".

I haven't finished 5 yet, but I am already having way more fun that 4.

The characters are more likeable
The city is more vibrant and colorful
The gameplay mechanics are a lot tighter

Idk what is with people giving games 10/10... Do you get to join like an exclusive country club if you give a game 10/10? I love GTA V, and it is certainly my game of the year but GTA V along with many others don't deserve a 10/10...

10/10 to me means there is literately zero issues with it and its impossible to nitpick and everyone in the world will like it which is false for virtually every game... It is sad to see so many sites giving it 10/10 for w.e. reason... I would give it a 9.5/10 (at most) and GTA IV a 9.2

its over rated for 10/10 but that could change in the next few weeks depending how online does. alot of what i wanted in single player is actually in MP so its really hard to tell right now. Also R* have promised alot of downloadable content, so depending on pricing and what it is it could be incredible. theyve already fixed some things in the first patch

I'd give GTA4 a 7.5 and GTA5 a 8.5 so its not as deceptive.. imo
