Forums - Gaming - Are the GTA5 ratings as deceptive as the GTA4 ratings?

Even if it is overhyped, it deserves it a lot more than GTA IV did.

It is miles better than IV imo. Go for it.

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

GTAV is a great game you can literally spend hundreds of hours doing nothing and all the small details the game gets right are incredible. Golf is great, tennis as well, and those are just a couple of the things you can do in the game. Then GTA Online looks like it is going to push it over the top.

Basically if you enjoy GTA at all buy the game and you wont be sorry.

GTA IV deserved all the high scores and ratings it got, same with GTA V both are arguably the best games of the 7th generation of console gaming.

It's miles better than 4, not that it was hard to do. but i don't believe it's a 97. one of the better games of the gen for sure. But not the best. I'd give it like a 94.

You must be a hell of a lot better at judging things than I. I could never judge anything more precise than */10.

I was wondering the exact thing as the OP. Ill wait until a few friends finish the game to decide. Will be cheaper on ebay by then as well.

It's worth the price of admission for sure. On a scale of don’t buy to buy. It's a buy. Not even something you need to think about. This is coming from someone that hates open world games.

Nay, GTA5 is amazing. Fixes many of the mistakes made in GTA4.

It's my first GTA game, so maybe I'm just wide eyed, but I think it deserves all the praise it gets.

I don't know how you came to the conclusion of GTA V scores being deceptive seeing as how people have spoken with their wallets.

GTAIV and  GTAV are 7th gen games.

I don't think many people consider GTAIV one of the best games of the gen. The campaign was unbelievably boring and it seems many reviewers just glossed over that. I find few people actually completed it.

However, I do consider the GTAIV exapansions to be some of the best games of this generation.
