Forums - Gaming - Are the GTA5 ratings as deceptive as the GTA4 ratings?

Nah I think GTAIV and V deserve there scores, it's hard to say any other game has the quality and the technical achievements.

Idk what is with people giving games 10/10... Do you get to join like an exclusive country club if you give a game 10/10? I love GTA V, and it is certainly my game of the year but GTA V along with many others don't deserve a 10/10...

10/10 to me means there is literately zero issues with it and its impossible to nitpick and everyone in the world will like it which is false for virtually every game... It is sad to see so many sites giving it 10/10 for w.e. reason... I would give it a 9.5/10 (at most) and GTA IV a 9.2

Wrong, it entirely depends on the scale of the reviewer/site. Gamrreview for instance has never had a 10 and never will because it signifies perfection, for other sites 10 just means a really amazing game, hence they give them out seemingly often (because we get some really amazing games each year)

Well, I thought GTA IV was a complete bore and would have rated it a 7.5 or 8 tops out of 10.

So far I think GTA V, however, is an amazing game. Idk about 97% good, I'll have to finish it first.

I think both deserved what they got. GTA IV didn't age so well...considering its mechanics aren't good in today's world but 5 years ago...it was breathtaking.

not at all. I genuinely didnt enjoy GTA 4 and im loving this to bits

I like the game better than 4, but honestly I enjoyed Saints Row 3 a lot more with its depth of customization and over the top antics...

I'd say the game deserves an 8.5 at best

I will permaban myself if the game releases in 2014.

in reference to KH3 release date

Loving the game a lot more than 4. It's not game of the year for me(that would be TLOU). Would give it a 9 easily.

I think a lot of people are going to complain about GTA5 in the future and say that the 10/10 scores were overrated once the hype dies down, just as it the same happened with GTA4, but it's a better game in terms of graphics, map, and driving. Good game, but at its core, it's an enhanced version of GTA4.

While GTA5 is a GREAT game, it's not perfect. On foot controls, cover, shooting all feel a bit clunky. It's also extremely easy to die in missions, with A.I having aimbots on you even behind cover (glitch). On a technical level, GTA5 is great. In a perfect world we would have GTA5 would have the best TPS/FPS mechanics, the best driving mechanics and the best overall mechanics. GTA5 does these as a jack of all trades. Good at most, a master in none.

I can't help but to smile when i play some of these missions, it's a lot of fun.
