I don't have a good gaming PC, so it can't play WoT very well. However, I did play it until yesterday on 1080P with very low settings and it was giving me 50+FPS.
Yesterday I tried to see how that would look on low resolutions, so I went as low as possible (1024 x 780 or something) and set all graphics to max. If looked much richer but very, very, very jaggy. Then I set AA to ON and that helped a lot, but it was still jaggy. However, the scene, the lighting, the models, the everything made the game look much better than when it was running in 1080P. Sadly, the FPS was 25-ish and it was dropping in sniper mode. So I made a compromise: medium graphic settings with medium-ish resolution. (The UI is still too big, but it's ok) => Better looking, adequate FPS (40+) for a game that is not about fast 180degree turns, lower resolution compared to the game running at 1080P. The one thing that high resolution can help with is aiming at small distant targets possibly (game specific).
