last i checked attach rates dont pay the bills and last i checked ubi hasnt said anything about SC numbers, period.

So why do you keep bringing it up like they have? By your own admission Ubi has said nothing. Yet you keep harping on it over and over.

?? the only ones here harping on it is forum goers and arm chair analyst and their opinions are just that opinions. As ive already said UBi hasnt said anything...at all.

You are the one I see posting over and over trying to push your opinion as fact. You are trying to deflect this on everyone else but its you who is carrying on a crusade that is pointless.

Ubisoft hasnt said anything. You admit that, yet you will still try to push your opinion off on others and ignore anything or dismiss anything that doesnt fit into your view.

whats my opinion as fact? im not the one bringing up attach rates and saying SC has flopped, why dont you get on those people. But you wont because saying that furthers your argument. Ill hold my judgement on SC flopping until UBi themselves have said so. because the FACTs are it is selling on par with the average SC game. and PS3 version at least has already done better than the last SC game to grace that system.

Attach rates do matter. That is a fact. Acting like a console with 4 million sold should push out one with 80 million is just spin and bias.
I don't expect PS4 to push out as many copies as PS3 for example. The install base just isn't there.

Do you expect PS4/XB1 attach rates to be higher or lower than PS360 for cross generational multiplatform games?

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

If you're referring to GFC Chart-Track, you can see data for the third and fourth weeks, too... but only if viewed on the "individual formats, by value" chart (the 360, PS3, and Wii U versions are all the same price, but it effectively removes cheaper games from the list). Wii U is ahead here.

Er 360 version is several places higher than WiiU there.

Just bad timing - the update happened between my post and you reading it. This was the one I was looking at. I didn't think they'd update it so soon.

Anyway, the key thing to note is that you're on a site that tracks worldwide sales, and generally does a pretty good job of it. It has Wii U worldwide sales of the game higher than in the UK. And that shouldn't surprise anybody, since the Wii U is struggling much more in the UK than elsewhere.

I really don't understand the die-hard Nintendo people. I said I was disappointed by the 3DS and I still got something like but all the exclusives. Those franchises aren't that great especially anymore. They've been rung out. Nintendo needs to wipe the slate clean because they're sticking too close to the resume for me to care at all. It's been old for a long time. Problem is the answer is still kiddy games like Disney's transition to Pixar. Nintendo does advertise their crap on the main site though like it's canon to the Nintendo legacy.

Ninty just aren't the only show in town and haven't been for a while.

Has she not ever heard the phrase, the CUSTOMER is always right?

How about: Ubisoft BETTER make good games, or we won't buy them and make them bankrupt.

Yeah, it isn't like Rayman, Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed are any good. I'm sure Watch Dogs will suck too.

What is hilarious is that one of their lowest rated major games in the last year is the biggest 3rd party seller on WiiU.

Not saying they AREN'T making good games.. Hell if anything, they are probably the best third party on Wii U by far. Just making a point, and I despise this mentallity people in gaming (particularly when it comes to a Nintendo console), that WE as consumers have some sort of responsibility to buy these games regardless of whether or not they may truly be worth it. Sure, sometimes they are, many times they are not. That is up to the developer, to convince US, not the other way around. They are a business and their livelihood depends on this. We as gamers can easily spend our money elsewhere, on another, better game, or another HOBBY for that matter..

IMVHO, given the HW and SW numbers still quite low, it's far too early to tell whether Ninty's presence in SW will be as overwhelming as it was on Wii. But should the best 3rd party games be outsold not only by the best Ninty games, but also by average ones, 3rd parties could get very pissed. If you look at Wii, Ubisoft best sellers were dance, music and fitness games, but Wii U isn't as motion-oriented as Wii, Ubisoft could start feeling bad vibes if its best games from other genres won't be able to occupy the very good positions it used to occupy in the Wii charts.

A) Wii U is 100% compatible with the Wii Mote.

B) With the Wiimote being the primary controller for Wii, that console got just about ZERO of Ubisofts big games like Assassin's Creed, etc.

C) Just...............*sigh*

Just Dance isnt a big game? what about Prince of Persia

I'm sorry, but no.

Wii got a shitty port of PoP 3 with waggle tacked on. It did not get a port of the (very solid) 2008 PoP game. It also got a sub-par port of "Forgotten Sands". Just Dance is a high selling franchise. That does not, however, imply that it has any value to acual gamers. I was clearly talking about Ubi's big franchises that have made them the force they are right now, especially among the uber-pre-ordering "hardcore" gamers.

They deserve credit for publishing the Red Steel and No More Heroes games on Wii. They did also put Rayman Origins on Wii. But when it came to their bigger "hardcore" franchises like Rainbow Six: Vegas, Far Cry 2, Assasin's Creed, etc., Wii missed the boat. That's what I was saying. Having the Wiimote go back to being hte primary controller isn't going to "Fix" anything at this point. The system getting games, and people actually buying them is.

by the way, Splinter Cell is not doing any worse on WiiU than it is doing on other platforms. Not even 1 % attach rate in any of them: 0,006 (Xbox360) 0,0046 (PS3) 0,006(WiiU)

Ubisoft will be lucky if this game reach the 1 million mark - all console versions combined - any day.

lol what? its at .85 right now and thats just PS360 retail versions that not taking PC or WIi U into account. You dont think it will put up another .15? It hasnt even been out 2 full months. I think people are really trying to make SC sales look worst than it is to make WIi U version look better.

Anyway, still very low by the franchise standards. 0.1 k won´t help much. I wonder how many copies Ubisoft need in order to make a profit of this game.

I really don´t understand why you care so much about it. Nintendo franchises sell a lot and that´s a fact. They may not be special for you but they´re special for a lot of people and that´s how things are. Enjoy your games and let people enjoy their´s
