Vita does 3 of those at once too, im pretty sure ps4 will do those 4 examples at once as well, i don tthink thats a great example for this xbox one feature tho, id expect to be able to listen to my own music and chat in a game without taking up any of the app slots, and im sure it probably can. |
Was I comparing the Xbox One to anything? I said what the Xbox One could do.
With the Xbox One you could actually listen to any supported music application. So if Last.FM, Spotify, Clear Channel Radio, Music Unlimited, iTunes, or any other music app offers a Windows 8.1 compatible application that is also designed to work on the Xbox One, then you'll be able to listen to it. So, for instance, an app that I wrote so I could listen to my local radio station, I could rewrite it so that it worked in Windows 8.1 & Xbox One, then publish it to the store so anyone could buy it.
Unlike with the Xbox 360, the user isn't limited to a predefined set of applications that he or she can use while gaming. Any web-based or support application can be running in the background while you game.
