lulz, you can try and brand ps4 as subpar all you want but feature by feature by feature ps4 does everything xbone does. multi-user login, facial recognition, voice controls, cloud saves, 2x the friend limit, game video capture, smartphone/tablet interaction, remote game purchase/downloads, low power state mode,  cross game chat, video chat, video mesaging...   but then ps4's cloud also will allow backwards compatibility and psvita allows for remote play.   so if ps4 is 360 part 2 then xbone is 360 part 1.9..

.  <-----  The Point.

:( <---- You.

The PS4 has been ringed as the PS3 2.0, because essentially Sony has tried to remain on par with the features of the previous generation and not try to do something different this generation.  I think everyone can agree that the Cell was an expensive attempt to do something radically different.

Selnor is saying that the Xbox One is not attempting to be the Xbox 360 2.0.  That is the point you blindly missed.  In fact, this point should be abundantly clear to everyone.  Because the whole reason for Microsoft naming it the Xbox One was to suggest not only that is it the only console you would need, but more to the point of this discussion, that it was a reboot of the console.

lulz and a half this time.  you blindly missed the point.  how can type cast xbone as innovative and ps4 as evolultionary when they feature identical?

you can't.

oh wait, now i get it.  xbone is innovative because they named it "the one".  damn.  how could i not see that...
