I could dig into census data, but I honestly don't want to. I can tell you that 30% of African-Americans are considered impoverished, and African-Americans comprise about 13% of the population, so about 4% of that 15-20 (it's cyclical, so I don't know what the current number is, though it's going to rise) are black. On the whole, I'd sayabout half are probably non-white.

 Quite honestly, I don't care who said this, I think it has a lot of good points in it (and a couple not so good ones).

Um, yeah. Just because you're in a good situation doesn't mean that it's just fine if somebody erodes that situation. People generally expect progress and improvement, not deterioration.

Bush can't really take credit for a lot of these great things which are the result of hundreds of years of progress. He gets credit for the difference between where the US was in 2000 and where it is today.

No one seems to protest Afghanistan, but you bring up Iraq and people will whine on and on, don't forget a lot of that money is also going towards funding the troops in Afghanistan and the building up from the nothingness they had before we came, so we got bad intelligence from the CIA about Iraq, stuff happens, saying someone acted on bad information that he wouldn't have known to be bad information is stupid, everyone has done it, if you hate him for it you should hate everyone that has done it. He may be president but he's human like everyone else, and you can't forget that's it's as much the Senate and House's fault they approved the extended stay and the budgets and got the same information as G.W. did and agreed it was the best plan so please stop being ignorant, pick up a book and read not sit there drool at the TV and listen to everything you hear and see.

relative poverty can hardly display signs of 'hardship'. A country with such high GDP/Captia (US), it's hardly fair to call those people "poor" just because median income can well keep a person fed and then do so much more, espeically when you look at the population of people who live under 2 dollars per day in the rest of the world.
